This track was recorded during the 'Passage to Agartha' sessions in 2016 with Max Ducker. It was sitting in the archives and upon finding out about the health troubles of Scott Sorry we decided we had a reason to release it and in some small way contribute and help him and his family out.
The track is unmastered as it was not originally intended for physical release but sounds as nasty and 'gristly' as the day it was recorded as Max the engineer described it. Scott is a punk rocker and we hope he enjoys its raw gristle, too.
Scott Sorry is a musician from Philadelphia, USA who we have seen play live numerous times over the years in The UK and Australia. Scott is a guy, we've respected and looked up to for many years as both a musician and a person who always came across as a really genuine and humble guy. The Wildhearts, in particular, have been a joint-favorite band of ours since we were young teenagers starting out and getting into practice rooms to play music at ridiculously loud volumes.
We had the pleasure of sharing some pre-show beers with him and CJ in Melbourne prior to The Wildhearts playing their first ever Melbourne show at The Corner Hotel on November 21st, 2008. Scott was funny and humble and glad to sit down and chat with us as we talked about music, touring and traveling and we really respected that.
Rich Jones from The Black Halo's has set up a GoFundMe campaign to raise money for Scott and his family to aid the high-cost medical bills associated with his situation. Link below.
We donated 100% of proceeds from the sale of this track to the fund between the day of release up until Jan 1st, 2018.
